Industrial Training Institute Naswadi was established in 1979 as a Mini I.T.I. with 04 SCVT courses and total sanction seats 192.Intially started with 6 trades.
Now there are 6 trades with 192 sanction seats. All trdaes are of NCVT pattern.
There are 18 staff member working at the institute.
Body of Institute Management Committee is constitute in 2008.
The concept at the time was, to prepare skilled man power in tribal area for self employment and then after it was up-graded in 1983 as an Industrial Training Institute & started NCVT courses in 6 trades. Institute is having a 6 different courses with 192 total sanction seats in different schemes and duration. The NCVT pattern courses are affiliated with D.G.E.&T, New Delhi.
The institute covers 5.13 acre of land. 10952 sq. mts. of it is constructed area including Administrative building, Work-shop, Staff quarters and Hostel.
I.T.I. Naswadi has become well known institute in the region having as many as 6 trades with 18 staff personnel and 408 trainees. It is running in 2 shifts & imparting training in different schemes like – NCVT , GCVT of different duration courses. This institute has an IMC to meet & promote the Public- Private partnership. IMC was constructed last year. i.e. 2008. The body of IMC constituted as per guidelines of D.G.E.&T. New Delhi. The chairman and other 4 members are from reputed private industries, IMC taking hearty and conscious interest in training of trainee to cater the industries need and also work as a bridge between industries & institute in the form of helping human and physically resources.
With a view to provide technically qualified man-power required for different industries and to be helpful to provide employment, this Institute is carrying over different Informal sector Short term courses. More over Institute has given Spoken English training to all trade trainees for improve their communication skill in English.
Institute is having One short term computer course lab. Recently this institute has been permitted to run Computer course for Govt. Employees. |
